How do I fill my raised garden beds? Honestly, with lots of different things. I try to initially fill them with the most cost effective option, then I improve the soil by adding homemade compost, organic matter, cover crops, and crop rotation. If I find a good deal on products or can’t make enough compost, I do sometimes buy bagged mix. And guess what? My plants thrive in lot of different combinations.
